Bounce Rate (Email)
The percentage of emails that fail to deliver, either permanently (hard bounce, bad address) or temporarily (soft bounce), and a key signal of list quality.
Why it matters
A high bounce rate damages your sender reputation and signals a dirty list, so it is both a symptom and a cause of deliverability problems.
How it is calculated
Bounce rate = (bounced emails / emails sent) x 100.
What good looks like
Keep bounce rates low through list verification and hygiene; a rising bounce rate is an early warning to clean the list before reputation suffers.
