What is personal data?
Personal data is any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (Art. 4 GDPR), for example your name, address, email address or telephone number.
Scope of data collection
Except as described below, no personal data is collected when you simply browse this website. Your browser transmits certain technical information so that the site can be delivered and kept secure.
Server log files
When you access this website, our hosting provider automatically collects and stores information that your browser transmits in server log files. This includes browser type and version, operating system, the referrer URL, the requesting page, and the date and time of the request. This data is not merged with other sources and is processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in the secure and stable operation of the website (Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR).
Hosting
This website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, provided by Cloudflare, Inc. As our processor, Cloudflare processes the server data described above on our behalf.
Contact form
You can contact us using the contact form on this website. The data you enter (your name, work email and the details you choose to provide) is transmitted to us so that we can handle your enquiry. Delivery of the form is handled by our processor Plunk. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to a pre-contractual or contractual matter, and Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in responding) otherwise. We delete this data once your enquiry has been fully dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations apply.
Cookies
This website uses cookies. Strictly necessary cookies are always active so the site can function and stay secure. Analytics cookies are set only after you give your consent through our cookie banner, and you can change or withdraw that choice at any time (see "Cookie consent" below).
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 together with Google Tag Manager, services provided by Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland), to understand how this website is used. Analytics runs only after you give consent via our cookie banner. Until then, Google Consent Mode keeps it in a state that does not store information on or read it from your device. Where analytics is active, it may process usage data and your shortened IP address. The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR, which you can withdraw at any time with effect for the future via the cookie settings. Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the USA. Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, and standard contractual clauses apply as an additional safeguard. Further information is in Google's privacy policy atpolicies.google.com/privacy.
Cookie consent
Non-essential cookies, including analytics, are set only after you consent through our cookie banner, which is provided by CookieYes. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the cookie settings option offered by the banner. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out before the withdrawal.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20), and to object to processing (Art. 21). Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time with effect for the future. To exercise any of these rights, contact[email protected].
Right to lodge a complaint
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the EU member state of your residence, place of work or the place of the alleged infringement. The authority responsible for us is the Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit.
Storage duration
We store personal data only for as long as necessary for the stated purpose or as required by statutory retention periods, after which it is routinely deleted.
