The percentage of their sales target that reps achieve, a measure of sales performance and quota realism.

Why it matters

Quota attainment shows how the sales team is performing against targets and whether quotas are set realistically. Consistently low attainment across the team usually points to a quota, pipeline, or enablement problem, not just individual performance. It connects marketing's pipeline contribution to whether sales can actually hit the number.

What good looks like

A common healthy pattern is the majority of reps attaining quota, with a spread rather than everyone clustered at zero or one hundred. If most reps miss, the issue is usually systemic, quota, pipeline quality, or support, not the reps.
